Half way there at 20 and 1/2 weeks.

Enjoying some sun during week 20.

Half way there!

Yesterday was another doctors appointment. The baby's heartbeat was between 140-145 bpm. My belly is measuring at 22 cm. I don't really know what that means but they say that the number will match or be around the week of pregnancy that I am. The nurse who listened to the heart beat had a hard time locating the heartbeat becuase the baby was moving around so much. It scared me at first but she reassured me that it was because the baby was so active. Mike and Missy have both been able to feel the baby move.
I have gained 18 lbs (or so they say) since pre-pregnancy. My school's scale said I only gained 16.3 lbs. Not sure who to believe. I am a fatty! Our ultrasound is scheduled for Tuesday, May 27th at 3:40. I have a doctors appointment after that. We'll give everyone a ring and let them know what the sex of the dragon is. Check this website if we can't get ahold of you to find out the big mystery. Then everyone can start buying me (uh...I mean the baby) presents!!
I was bitten by a tick this last weekend when Mike and I and friends were in Virginia at a beatiful lake house. It was on a wooded lot and everyone was pulling ticks off of them. Not sure if it was a deer tick or just a small dog tick. Please pray that I don't have lyme's disease because that would really suck being pregnant and fighting the symptoms of lyme's. My doctor said to keep and eye on my spot and see of it gets any worse or if I develop a rash. So keep me in your prayers that I won't get any symptoms. Ok...enough for now! Talk to you all very soon. Much love to everyone from our family!

Finally!

So I finally felt the baby move on Saturday night! Stacey and I were laying in bed and she had me put my hand on her belly. We have been trying this for days, maybe weeks without anything. I was finally able to feel the little movements and it was a great feeling. Should only be another month before we get to see the baby for the first time since week 6. I can't wait!!!

18.5 weeks

So here we are in our 19th week and feeling a little heavy around the midsection. You can tell the belly from the pictures. I'll try to take a few more pictures for the 18.5 week blog. I go to my next appointment in two Tuesday's and will schedule for my 24 week ultrasound. I am so stoked for that. The baby feels like everything is going fine. I feel lots of movement throughout the day and during the evening. At night, SHE/he sleeps. People tell me that is the opposite for them. Usually they are sleeping throughout the day and are awake at night. My child is an obedient child! Hopefully it will remain the same when he/she is born. Mike still has not felt the baby move but I think it is because he is not being patient. This kid will move whenever it wants to move and no one will tell it differently. So much like it's mama!

Still looking for a house. We are slowly packing some things up so when we get a place it won't be so overwhelming. Keep us in your prayers that we'll find an affordable home and car. You'll also notice that all Christmas decor is down and we are going with the "less is more" decorations for the home. Might as well start now. Anyone need any junk to fill your home with? Plenty down our way. We have a whole box plus full of things for yardsale. I don't want to move a thousand junk boxes so we are getting rid of stuff now! Ok, gotta run. I'll bring everyone up to date later. Oh by the way, Caufield klan....where the heck are your comments??? We did this site mostly for you since we don't see you on a regular basis and NO ONE has shown us love by commenting on anything. Get on the stick!!! Love all!

last docotrs appointment update

Here is a little update about the Caufield gymnastic child...
I went to the dr's yesterday and they listened to the heartbeat and it was 150 bpm. I asked why it had dropped from 165 to 150 and they said that since he/she is getting bigger it slows down in between 130-150 bpm. I think this kid is going to be living large b/c every test I take...it is at the top of the spectrum. It'll probably be a loudmouth like it's mama!

My quad screen came back (this tests for three big diseases, one of them is down's syndrome) and it came back normal. My next visit will be April 29 and I will schedule for my 24 week ultrasound. We are going to do the 3D ultrasound. It will be put to music and put on a dvd. That should happen at the end of May or beginning of June!

Last night the baby woke me up because it was doing flips, saumersaults, and splits in my belly. It has really started moving. That's why I called it the gymnastic kid!! All my measurements are normal for a 16.5 week baby. The doctor said that everything is going as well as planned. I have gained 10 pounds so far. They told me 5 lbs. a week is normal. That gives me permission to gain up to 50 lbs!! I need to start eating more:00 That make's me happy!! Ok...I think that is everything.
